I started gathering things together early hoping to avoid the last minute rush. Lee got the motor home out of the garage, vacuumed it all out and cleaned the carpet before taking it in to get the oil changed and a grease job. We are almost all packed up and ready to leave for our summer ministry. We had lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 50's and 60's. But winter wasn't over. February brought us lots of cold weather and lots of snow. On the evening of February 3rd we were watching the news and the long list of church closings on Sunday. I believe that was a first to see that most of the area churches were closed. We did get about 24 inches of snow! But, it was so pretty to see all the trees and everything covered. Our daughter, Cari, is getting married in April and we had a bridal shower all planned BUT she couldn't fly out of De Moines nor could the plane have landed in Grand Rapids! So it, too, was postponed. Now it is March and we are already beginning to see signs of spring. How quickly time passes us by.
